What is the HIVE?
The HIVE is a community built for people who want to make something. Members come in with half-formed ideas, no idea at all, or a project already underway, and leave with collaborators, skills, and something genuinely tangible.
Most places to learn about startups ask you to study them. The HIVE asks you to try one. Every session points at the same thing: getting an idea out of your head and in front of people who will tell you what is wrong with it.
The part that makes us useful is who we know. Lexington has accelerators, mentors, and investors who want to meet student founders early. We do the introducing. Members get access to partner workspace, mentorship, and events that are not otherwise open to students.
We are open to every major and every experience level. Ventures need engineers, designers, writers, and organizers, which means the room works better when it is not all one kind of person. If you are curious and willing to build, you belong here.
Two ways in
The HIVE runs two tracks side by side. Start on either one, and move up when you are ready.
Commit to a team for the semester and the club opens its network to you. This is where the partnerships pay off: workspace, mentors, and rooms that are otherwise closed to students.
Come to the weekly meeting when you can. Learn something, eat, and hear from people who have built companies. No commitment, no application, no pressure to have an idea yet.
